January 21, 2009 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
EAST WINDSOR POLICE COMMISSION
OPENING:
The East Windsor Police Commission held a Special Meeting on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the East Windsor Police Department for the purpose of reviewing the bids that were submitted for the 2009 Vehicle Maintenance contract.
Chairman Cliff Nelson called the Special Meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. with the following Commissioners present: Cliff Nelson, Linda Sinsigallo, Lorraine Devanney, Richard Sherman and Joseph Sauerhoefer. Also in attendance were Chief Edward DeMarco, Deputy Chief Roger Hart and one of the owners of Bosco’s Automotive, Inc. of Enfield.
NEW BUSINESS:
Chairman Nelson opened the bids for the 6 (six) individual companies vying for the contract. A chart was made with each company’s name and their bid specs for the Commissioners to review for comparison to make a decision. After a review of the comparisons of the bids the following motion was made:
MOTION: Linda Sinsigallo made a motion to award the 2009 Vehicle Maintenance contract to Bosco’s Automotive, Inc of 4 Simon Road, Enfield, CT pending documentation of certification and insurance. Seconded by Joseph Sauerhoefer. All Commissioners voted in favor. Motion approved unanimous.
The Chief or Deputy Chief will send notification to the remaining bidders to inform them that they were not chosen and to thank them for their bids.
The Chief will also notify the Town Hall that Bosco’s Automotive has been awarded the 2009 Vehicle Maintenance contract. The Chief requested that we amend the motion to state that the contract will begin on February 1, 2009.
MOTION: Linda Sinsigallo made a motion to amend the previous motion to read “to award the 2009 Vehicle Maintenance contract to Bosco’s Automotive, Inc. of 4 Simon Road, Enfield, CT pending documentation of certification and insurance. The contract will begin on February 1, 2009. Seconded by Joseph Sauerhoefer. All Commissioners voted in favor. Motion approved unanimous.
MOTION: Linda Sinsigallo made a motion to adjourn at 7:30 p.m. Seconded by Joseph Sauerhoefer. All Commissioners voted in favor. Motion approved unanimous.
